1. Acceptance
By accessing scolamedia.com or engaging Scola Media LLC (“Scola”, “we”, “us”) for any service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or contract our services.
2. Services
Scola provides photography, video production and brand identity services. Each engagement is governed by a separate proposal or contract (the “Estimate”) which prevails over these general Terms in case of conflict.
3. Quotes and bookings
Quotes generated through our /book/ wizard or sent by email are estimates valid for 14 days. A booking is confirmed only after (a) acceptance of the formal Estimate and (b) payment of the agreed deposit.
4. Payments
- Payment is processed through Stripe. By submitting payment, you authorize Stripe to charge the indicated amount.
- A deposit (typically 30-50%) is required to lock in the project date.
- The remaining balance is due before final delivery, unless agreed otherwise in the Estimate.
- Late payments may incur a 1.5% monthly service charge.
5. Cancellation and refunds
- Cancellations more than 30 days before the project date: deposit refunded minus a 15% administrative fee.
- Cancellations 15-30 days before: 50% of deposit refunded.
- Cancellations less than 15 days before: deposit non-refundable.
- Force majeure (illness, natural disaster, court order): we will reschedule at no extra cost.
6. Deliverables and copyright
- Final edited photos, videos and design files are delivered via our client portal and Google Drive.
- Upon full payment, you receive a license to use the delivered work for the purposes agreed in the Estimate (personal, commercial, social, web, print as applicable).
- Scola retains copyright authorship of all work and may use deliverables in our portfolio, marketing and social media unless you specifically request a non-disclosure clause in the Estimate.
- Raw, unedited files are not part of the deliverable unless explicitly contracted.
7. Revisions
Each project includes up to two rounds of revisions on the final edits. Additional revisions are billed at our hourly rate as quoted at the start of the project.
8. Client responsibilities
- Provide accurate brief, timeline and assets.
- Be available for scheduled shoots, calls and reviews.
- Secure all required permits and venue clearances unless explicitly contracted to Scola.
- Obtain releases from any individuals featured in the shoot.
9. Travel and expenses
Projects within metro Atlanta include standard travel. Projects beyond 25 miles from downtown Atlanta incur a travel fee quoted in the Estimate. Out-of-state and international projects are quoted case-by-case and require advance payment of travel expenses.
10. Liability
Scola Media’s liability for any claim arising from the services is limited to the amount paid by the client for the specific project. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages.
11. Confidentiality
We maintain the confidentiality of any proprietary information shared during a project. Unless explicitly released, we will not share project details with third parties before public launch.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Fulton County, Georgia.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date below. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
